Pearls before Swine
Jun. 4th, 2008 02:12 pmI just got my copy of TrondheimSolistene's DXD recording "Divertimenti", Britten and other classic music recorded in Norway in high definition audio on Blu-Ray disc (with accompanying CD for lesser mortals). Partly just an excuse to own the first such recording, but also out of a desire for the music.
Anyway.
I am, naturally, ripping the audio to MP3 and that will be the way I listen to it most of the time.
It came with a sampler CD recorded on one of those discs that looks like vinyl, and also a booklet. The booklet tells me this was recorded in Norway in November 2008.
THIS IS THE MUSIC OF THE FUTURE!
Nice recordings, though. Both from a technical point of view AND performance.
in other news; working like mad, new developments on the horizon, house slowly getting done, eBay sales not, my Dell was fixed efficiently on Monday that I forgot to mention, seem to have no time at the moment, new Coolpix cameras to review, are bikes worth anything secondhand, should move chickens given workload currently, ARGH, A BEE, Miss You Guise.
