OWWWWWW!
I gave myself some sort of RSI playing Resident Evil 4 until it was completed. At least, I think it's completed. I got sick of the Dragon's Lair style gameplay near the end and didn't finish what felt like a final scene.
The only thing more annoying than a game where you keep dying in stupid places and having to redo a whole load of stuff, is a GOOD game where that happens so you want to progress and keep playing.
This is one of the issues with the Wii, though. Wii "native" games? Excellent. Other console games ported to Wii? Not so good. It's like they feel compelled to use the controller in a certain way, but don't want to change the gameplay at all - like the Pirates of the Caribbean (still haven't seen the last film) game where you'd expect proper cut/thrust gestures and free-form fighting, but instead it's "shuffle here. Now do this gesture".
Resident Evil makes a pretty good attempt at using the control system. The gun aiming is fast and accurate, and the biggest issue I had was down to my own carelessness - do not power up the controller with the nunchuck not centred.
Having moved all of Jen's belongings pretty much in One Big Van (I could have got more in it, but it wasn't all packed), I have come to the conclusion that I have Far Too Much Stuff.
Most of this stuff is, dare I say it, a lot of crap, too.
Why is it so hard to just get rid of a few things?
