But...
The Astra now has new brakes on the front, and stops PROPERLY. Which is good, because the tyres and oil change seem to have made it want to go properly.
Sera is sold, pending payment. This is quite a sad day really. But I have plans for when everything is done with the house, and I will have something interesting to take its place - the Astra is a stop gap and intended partly for Siani to be able to get to work without buying more awful bangers until her 2CV is restored. The fact that it's also good for carrying rubbish and large objects is a bonus, the fact that it will do >40mpg may result in more socialising.
I'll be seeing a lot of you tomorrow, I expect.
