Yep, Looks Like Thursday.
Oct. 5th, 2006 11:15 amThere is a definite air of "Thursday" hanging around today. Firstly,
siani_hedgehog has a new chicken to collect from Wernlas down near Ludlow, and had spotted a promising house to look at - but I called today, and the house has been withdrawn from the market because the farm owner wants to do something inconsiderate like live in it. Bastard. I suspect, actually, that it was not in the "in need of renovation" sort of bracket the price suggested.
I have post to wait for, my network (WiFi) is being pants (has anyone tried those Dr. Bott external antennas for the G5? In theory, the gigantic thing ought to be able to break the G5's inherent "I'm a bloody great big shielded box" qualities, but at the prices, I'm not 100% sure I want to try this out). It's also quite a cold day, which I like, but equally a fairly grey and miserable one.
I could do with finding some perk. And getting in the car, driving to Londonish area, and hanging out with friends.
I should also get along to Halfords - Meguairs car cleaning stuff is 3 for 2, and my RX8 hasn't been given a good bath for a month or so, or waxed since May or June. Need to redo the wax before Winter for sure, but I also want it to be all shiny for Whitby.
Speech Synth for TI arrived, but I need more software to use it; extended Basic or similar. I'm irritated, because the seller charged £6.75 for RMSD and merely popped it in an envelope without additional packing, and posted first class for £1.72. Then had the cheek to ask for 3.4% PayPal fees too. I've emailed them, but I might be sullying their feedback score for them if their response isn't to refund £4 postage ;)
