Overall++ - the Mazda is so nice and relaxed now the suspension is fixed.
Bodgers--

The Sera's air cleaner was filthy and clogged. This will no doubt have contributed to it being a bit off lately.

The dizzy cap nut feels... wrong. I think I might have to replace the distributor at some point, but I did get it tight enough for it all to work for now. Another part crossthreaded by the previous mechanics, I suspect. Speaking of whom... the gaffa tape wasn't just to stop it sliding. The inlet hose is fucked where it attaches to the inlet manifold plenum chamber. I thought I'd need it anyway, but it was badly split, and I am SURE that doesn't make it run well at all.

Fuel filter looks like a 5/10 on the bitchometer, so I'm not attempting that when it is raining - no point whilst i need that hose, anyway.

Sera out of action for a couple of days, then.

On the plus side, it didn't misfire after i replaced the cap/rotor arm.
They might be foul... but...

Strictly not wholly accurate, except I think that the character may be a sticker and removeable. The writing is correct.
