my Banana
I keep picking up the same banana from the fruitbowl, carrying it somewhere, intending to work and eat, forgetting it, finding it later and putting it back in the bowl, and then doing the same thing later.
In other news, I got the Sera a new tail-light, and the threads on the fixings were covered in glue from the rubber backing. As a result, the nuts got stuck and instead of undoing, released the captive end from the tail-light moulding. With the light not fully fitted (but I'd still like to be able to undo the damn things anyway).
This is very, very annoying indeed. I can probably return the light as faulty, but if not, I'm going to have to devise a way of using it. I think I can reglue the captive part, but I've got to detach the light from the car first.
It did not put me in a good mood, which I was annoyed about because I was actually in a "I finished the magazine and paid the scariest electricity bill ever!' accomplished sort of mood before that happened. I'm out of the bad mood now, but I am disappointed by the failure of the taillight, having been so very pleased with it coming in quickly and getting a discount from the dealer as well. Partly my good mood was from taking the Sera out for a run, too - it really feels a lot happier with the suspension sorted and engine mount.
Friday feels very close. I like this. I know it is only Tuesday, but it has a Wednesday sort of air to it.
