(In other news, I'm working like a bloody demon at the moment to get magazines finished, have ignored everyone I normally talk to, and am sick to death of trying to work out how to explain RAID, though I think I have cracked it now - "It's really good". Tomorrow I reckon I'll have the mags done, Wednesday is the Edward Scissorshands play, Thursday I might actually get to wash my car or summat useful, and Friday - NEW CAR. Did I mention I'm getting a new car? *runs*).

Hoffspotting: Hoff showed up in something I was watching the other day, and I'm sure I caught a music video with him on too. The Hoff is everywhere.

Phone call about stinky flue man opposite the Garden! (Remember him?)

He hasn't actually been a problem this year apart from that one time - at least that I'm aware of. Guessing that he's been burning things which are less offensive. Anyway, Environmental Health got Building Regulation onto him, and the flue IS allowed (it was apparently existing), but should be 1m high (I'm sure it isn't). Planning have said to extend the flue to the height required would actually allow people to object, but I think if the flue was the correct height, it wouldn't be at garden level for this side of the block, and therefore wouldn't be an issue; regardless he hasn't been burning stinky stuff anyway.

So - overall result good, I think. Person made aware by official persons that they're being a nuisance, nuisance stops, but council wants to go ahead and make them fit the proper flue anyway. I have no objections to that.

I just got the house valuation - verbally - from the Bank.

I was getting annoyed with being pestered about sorting out the solicitor (I'm very, very busy), but I admit that when she said what it was, I merely squeaked and said I'd get on to the solicitor as soon as I'd finished my article (which was my plan anyway).
