Slept until stupid O'Clock
Set up SAMBA shares on OS X
Watched an edumacational programme
Put soldering iron and stuff in upstairs kitchen in anticipation of careful "Clean Sheet' place for fixing things which can be quickly tidied away.
Plugged XBox into network upstairs
Set up SMB share in XBMC
Opened share
Had access to 300Gb drive over network.
Watched films.

Okay, so I need a network connection to downstairs and that will have to be a 54M WiFi adaptor which I don't have lying around, but IT WORKS. It connects to the Mac's shared file and plays MST3K, Max Headroom and whatever else I want to dump on it. All I need to do now is suss out how to make iTunes work properly on it, once it has net access, and if a quieter fan exists it would be a worthwhile swap.

Now tea and tidying up the house, I reckon. Tomorrow will be trying to get into normal work routine and then taking the Sera for suspension/engine mount work and The Dreaded MOT.

Xbox working okay modded, but I just thought i'd try it 'unmodded' - long press on the power Switch.

Not a big deal, but confusing!

Modded, it is behaving absolutely perfectly. Since the only reason to run it unmodded is to use Live! services which I have no intention of bothering with, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. It works how I want it to.
