*biting nails*
Jan. 9th, 2006 01:00 pmMOT. MOT... I've been over the car repeatedly...
Interior is stripped out at the back. I reckon I could fit the suspension myself given spring compressors in less than an hour, bolts behaving. Which we of course know, they may well not do. I just hope this repair/MOT stuff doesn't cost too much - I know that it is likely to be at least £250 - £100 for the engine mount and fitting, £51 each for the suspension parts, and fitting... and then there's another £42 for the MOT (I'm too used to cheap garages). This could easily end up being £400 with VAT if the suspension takes too long to replace.
But, it has to be done. The suspension is completely shot, the engine mount is shaking, and the car is useless without an MOT.
Brought the XR into the yard and used it to throw away the pink suitcase and old Subaru brake discs and pads.
