For some reason, it seemed to take forever to get there; my initial mood was not helped by the Beetle feeling neglected, and voicing this by making the alarm go whilst showing just how flat the battery had got in a month of disuse.
However, it faithfully behaved once jump started, and I remembered why I chose the Beetle - driving the Subaru so much, I'd forgotten just what a GOOD car seat is like. Window open a bit and heater on, the Beetle dried out a little too.
Drew loved his present from Siani - so did I. Amazing tank goodness. He got me some tiny 'capsule' toys from Japan - a Nissan Skyline (hatchback-like one, looks a lot like a Supra) and a Countach. These are WAY cooler than Micro Machines. The guys in the 'note made me Lemsip. I wish there were pubs like that here.
princealbert is definitely my hero of the week. Apparently my XBox mod is now cured and working, and was down to (I suspect) my cackhanded soldering fitting the cursed LPC-rebuild PCB (1.6(b) motherboards blow goats by all accounts) - a new D0 point has apparently resulted in the XBox coming up with the FlashBIOS screen, and as it worked perfectly as a console before, I reckon this means I have a fully operational, modded Xbox.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to pick it up soon - I tried playing my PS2 and remembered why I hate GTA:SA and stopped playing games for ages. Stupid, repetitive, frustrating game.
Beetle is now much drier and I have a copy of AutoExpress to read.
Bed.
