Hrmmmm

Blokey with a recording/video production studio is buggering off from Hawick and back to London because he can't make enough money up here. I must admit that his client list looks sparse; two DVDs (Common Riding and a local storyteller), a couple of Wedding to DVD transfers (worthy of noting as clients? Surely not!). I know this because he randomly knocked on the door and offered me his studio desk (Soundtracks/trax? (MXR?) 32:16:8 thing, apparently cost £18K, for £1,500. No, I don't have the money, nor do I need such a thing, even if the PSU is fanless).

Now. How does one define "not enough money". I certainly wouldn't turn down a few quid to stick some wedding photos on a DVD, or splice together some SD video. I've got a fairly cheap DV camera and a full editing suite.

But, I really hate trying to deal with people up here. Getting money out of them for anything which looks too simple is a real PITA; if someone with the skills to do this stuff on autopilot got sick of them, I'll last two minutes.

I think I shall mess around with my video camera and knocking up my Sera video. See what I can do with Final Cut Pro. If I can produce something worthwhile, there might be a few quid to be had from doing some local video work.

Today is proving to be weird, as productivity has been low despite spending all day phoning or emailing people.

Found screw to fix foglight, so it is now photogenic.

Head feels very explodey. I think I shall take some Lemsip, I have a foul headache. Glasgow tonight, but I don't really feel too perky :(
