Waiting for the postman who should have recorded delivery letters, then going to fit the shower over at [livejournal.com profile] marymortis' flat. It's bitter-cold today, not liking it at all :(

Hard getting into "Work" mode; I'm not really sure what I need to be doing at the moment as I haven't seen any magazine progress or such. Have been tidying and since I don't have the TV room set up as one anymore, considering packing the projector away and returning it - even if it was insanely discounted, Plasma TVs are now cheap enough that it would need to be massively cheap to be worth the effort. I did, eventually, get around to moving the LD and DVD players which worked out of that room and into the sitting room.
Normally, I don't look in other people's post. But Siani's Christmas Ornaments arrived from Canada, finally, today, and there was a rattling sound.

So I opened them to have a look.

I can't decide if I'm horrified by the Post Office, or impressed. Packaged with only a single layer of bubble wrap on each side and in the original box, only one of the ornanments has expired - one of the plainer, blue ones. The others all look to be in good condition. This is despite the box saying "Glass Ornaments" (Red Rag to a bull, I'm sure) and looking a little worse for wear.

Also, my Sera foglights arrived. They aren't in great condition, but they are serviceable and it is now apparent how they fit officially. I might upgrade them, since they are PLASTIC lenses! WTF is it with the Japanese! Plastic lenses on lights which are at gravel height!

*sniffle*

Shower fitted (no mishaps, despite being me+water+electrickery), plus two units. Co-erced into fitting the toilet seat, but it didn't fit anyway.

Place is looking very tidy and sorted, actually.

Foglights on Sera. Currently being annoyed by thinking I have a screw JUST like one which is missing, and they blew two fuses at first but are now behaving and looking very yellow and foglighty. Must call and get it booked into garage for suspension, engine mount and MOT. It also needs a good run due to lack of use lately.

Joy of joys. Gas board would appear to have messed up my bill AGAIN. I blew up at them for a few minutes and demanded copies of all bills, but basically it seems that they recalculated to a certain bill point, told me I was up to date as of December 7th but in fact meant I was up to date as of the last bill issued and they've issued another for £595.

I fucking hate Scottish Power.

Hungry. Habe a code. I think I'll drink some Dr. Pepper.

Failed!

Sera failed the MOT...

...in my head :D

The car still isn't booked in, I was too busy to get that sorted, but after tracing the blown fuse business with the foglights I found a blown tail-light.

The one full of water.

Well.

Ice.

I've thawed and emptied it, replaced the shorted, smashed bulb, and cleaned out the remains of the bulb base. A replacement appears to be working adequately, but I need a new rear light unit and preferably wiring loom (once it has started rotting, it won't stop - there'll be damp in the sprung connectors in the base and the surround will carry on rotting).

So I have working foglights and all other lights now. Started stripping the boot in preparation for new rear shocks (access panels are clearly for wimps in Toyota philosophy). Been offered a cheap set of snazzy mats, too, which are the correct type for a Phase III.
