Today, I are mostly tidying up the rest of upstairs, I think.

Apple are launching something on the 12th. I think I might be glad I didn't get a 'slightly better' iPod to replace my (good, but too small) 20Gb one - I think 80Gb ones are due.

Lots of suggestions that maybe the new one does video. I care not. What I'm wondering is if we're getting 40 and 80Gb variants, either of which would be good.

Pics of my tidy (but still horridly decorated) office: http://homepage.mac.com/r.t.kilpatrick/PhotoAlbum29.html - and a pic or two of the NeXT.

Acquisition stalled horribly.

Now all my half-finished downloads are sort of broken. One of the MST3Ks it was almost done with is redownloading, claiming to have 3 hours left, but showing 117Mb of 690 at some slow speed.

*sighs*

I found a Cocteau Twins song called Tishbite.

Now I need Milk & Kisses. I shall rummage at the stalls at Whitby for it.
Got tickets for Graveheart.

Socialising.

*fear*

EDIT: Consideration of car insurance. I've been digging my heels in over trying to get the Sera insured as a second car, and it simply isn't happening.

But you know what?

If I had the Sera and Supra insured, it would cost me £250 for the Supra, plus another amount (probably similar) for the Sera.

Insuring the Sera through bloody Direct Line, with no no claims to use (it's all on the Beetle), works out at £450. Fully comp (TPF&T is £399 - for the glass cover, I'll take the fully comp). That's limited mileage (5,000, except, Direct Line use this as an estimate, it's not like a classic policy); I also tried Privilege, where going from 10,000 to 5,000 miles brought the premium from £522 to £496. Privilege=Direct Line, basically, as does Tesco.

It's hardly the end of the world. The specialist quotes I got were hilarious. One place quoted £700.

Now, I've had my quote of £450, so tomorrow I try 'Sky' brokers, who said they needed something to work with.

Ohnoes!

Half my hair has fallen off!

(With help from Siani and a buzzy thing).

Scarily, it doesn't actually look much different unless I lift it all up.
