Named!

Sep. 5th, 2005 02:35 pm
My black Sera is now named, and it was so simple I can't believe I didn't think of it!

It's a Phase III in Astral Black with SLSS, it was imported in February, Deregistered the previous August, on the day after the anniversary of the atomic bomb being dropped on Nagasaki.

It is from Nagasakiken.

The current plate says "J557 WAX" (if anyone wants it, shout, because my A4 RTK plate is going on, £80 to transfer it to your car).

The old plate was MU 37-33 (If I could buy MU 3733, I would!).

The car was built in Heisei Era, year 4, year of the Monkey, and deregistered in year 16, once again the year of the monkey. Shaken/MOT expiry would have been 17/8/2 - August 2nd 2005! - the car was also ministry inspected 16/8 (August 2004) I think - there's a red/silver sticker in the screen which I can't identify with 16 in the middle, 8 on a segment, and 16/8/2 on the back.

(Oddly enough, I am building lottery numbers off this - 4, 12, 16, 33, 37 so far!).

And the best name suggested on the Sera forum?

"Atomic Monkey". It's also now nicknamed Mojo Jojo, because I can't think of any other atomic monkeys, and PowerPuff Girls are kinda Japanese-esque anyway.

Improving my mood yet further (needed, as I have the door wiring loom lying in the kitchen upstairs awaiting repairs), the white sticker (here, Japanese car stickers - http://homepage.mac.com/r.t.kilpatrick/PhotoAlbum25.html ) apparently states that the timing belt - due at 100,000km - was changed at 105,000km on 29th July 2003.
Oh, and I get to look forward to getting toys from [livejournal.com profile] blankinfinity sometime over the course of the next week. Yamaha DG-1000 modelling pre-amp (of dubious definition of the word modelling, being designed in 1997 before such things were common, but with a fantastic reputation, bullet-proof build, and motorised knobs!) which will go into the rack and have the Kramer plugged in almost permanently, and a Behringer V-Amp 2 doohicky which I think my dad wants.

Gosh, it's warm.

Did I mention Siani finding the spoookiest caterpillar ever? I don't know if it escaped the attentions of Chickens, I really hope it did, because it turned out to be an Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar. Apparently gardeners hate the caterpillar as it likes Fuscias, but naturally it likes willowherb, which we have in abundance.

I've photographed it, but it's perhaps not the best image as the caterpillar was frightened.

I was concerned that it might be quite rare, but it isn't. So I'm less worried about the Chickens possibly eating it. Well, I say Chickens, but if anyone got it it would be Clover.
