Jun. 10th, 2009 09:09 amTwo people now have made me think of La Roux in the past 24 hours - it's one of the people from the MR2 owner's club's car in the video so we all got to see a preview of it. I still argue that a Mk 1 MR2 isn't QUITE 80s enough, because it's not exactly iconic.
But between La Roux and Ladyhawke, there are two 80s-esque bands that I've overlooked. The latter, because I got stupidly cynical about it. Are they actually any good? I quite like the songs I've heard, but went "argh, more 80s-retro from people who don't actually understand anything about the 80s!".
I don't actually think it matters why they made the songs, I like 'em.
One hit wonders (My Delerium), or a solid album. Anyone? Bueller?
