These are pictures of the crossing - I didn't get any other shots of note in Seattle, due to timing and not wanting to carry the H3D around everywhere. The picture of the port with the smaller boat is representative of the weather conditions, any weird colour casts and effects are due to me mucking about. The actual original files are woefully grey, so I rather like my picture-postcard saturated shots of the city. Especially since these are handheld from a moving boat.

Firstly, I took the Fuji IS-1, but didn't have time to source a 58mm IR hot mirror. Which means in short, these pictures are crap and do not reflect the true capability of the camera; it's basically being flooded with IR all the time. There are also a few pictures of the San Francisco day that greeted me on arrival which explains a lot about the lack of glorious California pictures I had hoped to capture; had the weather been different I think the pictures would have been very, very different.

There are many more pictures in the galleries; click through to see them all. I really wish I had got that hot mirror though, as the Fuji is capable of very good results as a normal camera; the IR stuff I needed to have more experience with to measure white balance and perhaps have a selection of visible-light cutting filters.
