Well, 500 miles in the Suzuki. ARGH. The REVS. SO MANY REVS.

I want a bigger car ASAP. Don't like small cars on the motorway no matter how fast they are, because they are always geared badly.

Anyway, new work for me, new contract and so forth. Yeay.

Got a Mini PCIE WWAN card (Dell 5520) for my FlipStart, cracked open the lid, and...

No screws for the Mini PCI-E slot. this is... annoying. I found an Eee case screw is the right size but if there are shallower ones like that I'd prefer them.

Worse.

No antenna leads.

It needs two tiny patch leads for those push-to-fit antenna connectors. The antenna is part of the PCB with a header, just no patch lead.

Finally.

No drivers. It's a Novotel EU870D and the Dell driver won't install on a non-Dell computer. Novatel don't provide drivers.

Just once, I'd like something like this to go from start to finish without something cocking it up.

Back in Hawick tomorrow via DVLA in Carlisle, talking of cockups. They messed up my new driving licence. Fucking retards. I really wish the DVLA could be pulled apart and rebuilt with some sort of core competence requirement.
