Of course, I've been rabbiting on about photography lately and haven't shown anything for my efforts, have I...
Let's sort that out :)

Smoking Woman
From the Sigma DP-1 handheld as I walked past. Not correctly focused (manual) and not processed in Photoshop, I lost the RAW file - otherwise I would have increased contrast somewhat though I quite like the 'flat' nature of this one. It could have done with channel work to really look good. And been in focus ;) |

Photoshopped smoking woman
Few tweaks to the levels/contrast and added some grain, and unsharp masked. Should probably consider shooting at 800ISO and letting the DP-1's natural grain do the work. |

David Wadley Portrait
Taken on Olympus E510 with 7-14, it's a little soft (again, my eyesight isn't really up to manual focus and I had the lens wide open to use natural light). This image is for publication, though I would prefer to have had a sharper one if it were for anything other than magazine/newspaper repro. I never fully know what to expect from a Beyer camera, though. |

Backdamgate in Hawick
Newly developed, this area of Hawick was quite derelict for a while. There is now a thriving coffeeshop franchise and cinema in the old mill building. Shot on DP-1 with manual exposure and completely unprocessed, just resized. |
