But possibly only interesting to me...

Just prodding the various cameras, having finally got the MWg Ubiquio 711 on eBay (eBay listings here: http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZrichardk66 - the ColecoVision is in there too), and I thought "I'll see how Sigma SD9 bodies are going".

Since I have a pretty much unused SD10 (after the near-tears incident where my own SD10 was damaged, replaced just at the same time as the SD14 came out, and then the repaired one was sold), and of course my SD14 - between the two of them the first DSLRs (and arguably the first SLRs) that I have chosen for myself and actually own - and a DP-1, I'm only an SD9 away from having a full set of Sigma/Foveon bodies (the rare, US-market only Polaroid x530 is the only Foveon camera I can't get my hands on, sadly. They're worthless and apparently crap, but they're also very rare due to being recalled then put back on sale long after the specification was marketable. Apparently the PSUs are a touch flammable, too).

The SD9 sells for well under £100, though really I'd like to find an SD9 body only in working order for under £60, given how useful it would be to me (not much, beyond playing with IR stuff).

What's interesting is that there ARE SD9s on there for sale. And even more interesting, the users are claiming to have migrated to the SD14. So I wonder just how many real SD14 users there actually are, given that I have never actually met another SD user IRL, even at Focus (Sigma staff don't count, naturally). Plenty of Sigma lens users and advocates, but not SD camera users.

Comedically, there are three people (including myself) with the wide-ranging "Foveon" as an interest on LJ, and no others with "Sigma SD". *eyes the limb he's apparently out on when it comes to camera preferences*
