May. 10th, 2006 10:44 pmNot a bad day. Lots of walking, pictures and finally getting up to Fatlips Castle - which like years and years ago, I went and wandered about on top of. The roof has gone, one floor is completely gone now. Nice pub lunch earlier in the day with Siani's relatives, too.
Got outbid on a twin set of bike lights. Ohnoes. Now I'll have to get them NEW for less than I was bidding in Edinburgh.
This means that my VisionStik is available, though I don't know the best approach for selling it if I do - it's a 5W halogen rechargeable light which converts into a maglite-esque torch. It has a retail (apparently) of £70, I paid £50 for it. It's compact and rather handy, but anyone who has seen my bike will know that compact/light is hardly a consideration - it's got bloody GPS on it for a start, let alone the twin panniers and so forth. If anyone wants it, make an offer; if it's too low I'll just keep it around as a very OTT rechargeable torch, or a backup lighting system.
Edinburgh tomorrow, and probably North Yorkshire Moors railway Friday. Yeay railway! Then dahn sarf Saturday.
