Feb. 10th, 2006 09:19 pmI decided not to get the new car.
I washed Missy and got the stuff out - the sloth, the furry dice... and she was all cute, and clean... and purred down the road happily. And, leaks aside, she's been such a nice car. Roof down, bouncy happy suspension...
It's just hard to send a cute little car like that away, well all is said and done.
Okay, I'm kidding.
The Mazda is brilliant. Pictures may be uploaded tomorrow. I'm shattered from relative lack of sleep, but also, 7-1300 hours on public transport. Suffice to say that at least on first impressions, every good thing I have heard about the RX8 is true, and I haven't heard any bad things - even the low=speed performance is good.
I will miss the Beetle, but the Mazda is definitely more the sort of car that appeals to me as a machine, as a car, rather than just basic ideas of what I'd like.a car to be. The RX8 could only be more perfect if they offered a convertible (MX5 with RX8 styling and 4 seats would be alright, but I like that rotary engine ;) ).
