Up at 5am
Drive to Edinburgh, park car in Leith, get Ailsa and Colin, take their Discovery to Edinburgh airport.
Fly to Stansted.
Get hire car (Kia Picanto. Clearly, if this is the thinking person's small car, they need to think a lot harder)
Drive to Goswhateveritwas.
Attend cousin Michael's wedding, have great time, but have to leave at 7:30 before the good party begins. Presence, despite new rocks, black jeans, black shirt and white tie outfit, seems appreciated.
Drive like loony to Stansted, go mad finding where to take the car back.
Run to flight, only to find it delayed (as usual).
Annoy people on flight by singing lots of songs (quietly) and making Ailsa recall lines from bad songs and films.
Drive back to Leith.
Play with kitten, eat Wasabi peanuts.
Drive home.
In terms of travel time, the car is about as quick to be honest, and much, much cheaper.
In terms of how I feel I actually am not as knackered as I usually am after driving to Cambridge and back, and if I didn't have the hire car, I could have had a drink. However, I like being the sober one on these occasions.
Got back to check email and find I have a NeXT Laser Printer sorted. £2.50 for the printer, basically. That, I am pleased with!
Tomorrow we go look at a Chevette, but mostly, relax.
