WARNING!

If you are a Halifax Bank of Scotland Customer...

Their standard charge for Direct Debit being returned unpaid - you know, the fine for not having any money - has gone up to £39. eBay tried to take my seller fees after I'd just paid them via PayPal's direct debit (which went through), HBOS won't refund the charge as 'it's a valid direct debit' and I think the chances of getting eBay to refund it are somewhat slim.

I think this is the last straw for me as this goes. They can make up to three charges in a day (£117), and of course, you still have to pay the companies which were unpaid. Apparently there was a note informing of the charge increase in June statements.

Does anyone know what the Royal Bank of Scotland charges are?

The person who 'signs' these letters is former Halifax director Garry Ronald Daniel Kettle, based at Trinity Street Head Office. Right now I want to hit him. Repeatedly.

Going to try and get the Subaru back, which means going to Penicuik. It's not just me - Penicuik is a stupid place. How do I know? TomTom say "Cannot find route".

As TomTom also say "Cannot find weather, cannot connect to server, cannot find GPS (okay, the stone house doesn't help) and Would you Like to Pay 79 Euro for these Point of Interest", I take it with a pinch of salt. (Incidentally, in the unlikely event that anyone reading this is using TomTom Navigator or similar, screw their Speed Camera thingy for 79 Euro - there's a free set at pocketgpsworld.com).

Edit: Where did my linefeeds go? I had to put Paragraphs in manually...

TomTom - amusing. Battery started to flake out on the iPaq after a couple of hours though. Perhaps I should have switched WiFi off, but then I wouldn't have had the amusing experience of it flashing up in most towns with people's networks, and in Dalkeith, logging on to one and getting a Traffic update. Subaru - Yes, it's painted alright. It still drives badly enough to scare me.
Hmmm. Entries posted using my client appear to be losing carriage returns. How very odd. LiveJournal is changing how it handles formatting.
