Career thoughts
Apr. 1st, 2009 09:24 amOne of the things about what I do is that it's very flexible, but also very fragile. Whilst I do have a lot of freedom, I also have to think ahead if I want to improve what I'm doing - I need, essentially, to work at working.
Given the stress of the past couple of years with housing and so forth, I've had a quick look around and have applied to the Morrisson's Supermarket at Great Park for a stock management position. Aside from being close to the farm, it's also a nice, low-stress concept. Show up every day for a fixed period, then switch off. Hopefully having a normal job will reflect better on mortgage applications than having my own "business" too.
