Plea for some odd hardware!
Jan. 11th, 2009 01:38 pmI don't suppose anyone has a 1MB Type-1 PCMCIA S-RAM card lying around, do they?
The Fireworx software can only be updated via these cards; T.C. Electronic want 110 Euro for a card, but the software is free. I know the cards are not remotely that expensive (more like $70) from the few specialist resellers with them now, but I also hope that there are some kicking around; I know my Newton used to use them or Flash, I can't remember which now.
I found a 6MB one with the HP200 Hirez gave me, but the unit only supports 2MB max and S-RAM, not Flash. And I think the 6MB one is an odd voltage as the Roland V-Synth didn't like it (I'm also after the rather more obscure larger - 512MB-2GB - PCMCIA Flash drives to expand the V-Synth's storage, but I can use an adaptor and CF card in that).
