Roads back from Glasgow - icy. Hearts for the hard-working Delica, please.

Saw one big crash outside Newtongrange, and smelled what might have been another so searced ditches for crashed cars (didn't find one, but it was right after a flood which caused the Delica to aquaplane then had frozen at the shallow bit). Got passed by many cars, as i am a cautious driver, but didn't crash, so I feel it was worth the 20mph crawl.

Once the other cars are done, the Delica gets new tyres. And a clean. And a "best car ever" sticker.

Aidan gave me an awesome "Back to the Eighties" t-shirt, and - jenova_red, this is so funny - a SPIROGRAPH (type drawing set, I don't know if the actual toy still exists but this is neater and fits in a small tin).

Shinkou's first "replacement bit" has already been arranged! Turns out that the Goodwood green mica (I hope that I'm not wrong about the colours) bootlid is in Wolverhampton so I don't even need to worry about postage for it. £50 and some time swapping badges/spoiler over to remove the dent - cheaper than Dentmaster! Yeay! I'll probably hang onto it until summer when I get into properly cleaning the car/polishing/waxing and so forth.

Spoke to another Citroen dealer today, who tells me that they sell 4 "ex demo" C6s a month typically - the pre-registered, 6,000 mile, £13,000 cheaper C6 Exclusive is not something that is suddenly likely to vanish, though he does reckon that in 2 years the C5 will be getting the same sort of push "when the novelty has worn off". Given that it goes from 07, 6000 mile for £25K (from £38K), then the next level is typically 55-plate (so now 2 years, instead of six months) old and 20,000 miles for £19K, I reckon the 6,000 mile demo car is about perfect value.
