Sorted out BT, who were also being useless. On hold for an hour to save £35. I think I made a loss.
David popped over whilst i was in the middle of this and handed me my other birthday present, a headset microphone (wired, phantom powered) - it's rather neat. I need to learn how to NOT CLIMB. Damn vocal technique.
OTOH, I can do a distressingly sinister reading of War of the Worlds narration with it. And with my current cold, I'm more Tom Waits than A-Ha. I want to do a version of Downtown Train. I also want all the netgoth musical types to get together and record a netgoth version of the Jeff Wayne War of the Worlds musical. I think it would be deeply amusing.
Got my monies sorted for the MR2. So there will be a peak in car chatter whilst i get rid of RX8, mess with other cars, and get the MR2 (and go through the usual process of scrutinising, swearing at broken bits, and glee when it's all clean, tidy and "perfect" and the sun comes out), then hopefully it'll be back to OTHER THINGS.
Back keeps on being okay for a bit, then surprising me with pain. I need to go for a decent walk, I think. But it is raining.
Now, sort out RX8's leaving date, then get on with work. After a cup of tea.
Does anyone else like "Howling Bells"? I raved about them last year, but I've yet to see anyone else mention them. They've gone all quiet for a year, I hope they haven't died :/
