I'm betting the reason I haven't had a cheque for the Roland JD800 is...

That the zero-feedback buyer bought a cheaper, without cards one 20 minutes later.

I have sent them a nice email pointing out that I will be happy to deliver the synth and collect payment in cash on my way past, and if they would like I will include a MIDI lead to allow them to connect both their JD800s together.

If I don't get an email in response to that, then I shall call them. And then leave -ve feedback.

I really do not want to have to be the sort of person that has "No zero feedback bidders" in the auction listing.
Southall Street, Manchester.

That'd be HM Prison Manchester. Better known as Strangeways.
Things seem to be working a LOT better now:

Master keyboard - MIDI 1 - Korg Trinity Pro X
Roland JX10 - MIDI 2 (Will be sold, Nova does the same things)
Roland D-50 and PG 1000 - MIDI 3 (Should be sold, a bit unsure)
Korg Wavestation - MIDI 4 - also connected to audio send/return Bus 5, might connect to 6 too
Waldorf Pulse Plus - MIDI 5 - hooked to patchbay for audio in and considering how to connect CV/Gate out to sample/delay rack
Supernova II - MIDI 6 - no use made of audio inputs yet
Roland JV-50 - MIDI 7

Waiting to be hooked up: Akai CD3000XL - it has an SP/DIF connection so can go direct to computer's audio interface.

Random: Drumtraks, Roland Juno 6, the latter being provisionally sold. GR77b is back in the studio for playing with whilst it is relisted. Jen SX1000.

Effects - all patched in. Now able to easily repatch vocals through AVP-1 or valve-esque compressor, can patch the former as side-chain on the latter too.

Desk: Much simplified inputs. Don't need a 48-channel one really.

The Wavestation's backlight has gone - I think the replacement is in a box in Birmingham, along with my soldering iron and kit. Aside from that it's pretty certain to stay part of the setup. The JV-50 may be replaced with a Roland JV sound module, either used JV1080 or 1010 (2080s are still too expensive and I'd end up wanting all the cards to go in them).

It doesn't feel like I got rid of a lot, yet the studio feels much more efficient and user friendly. Now all I need to do is sort out some way of having speakers either side of the Trinity so I can hear what I'm doing whilst actually playing.
