My JD800 just sold with BIN price, but to a zero feedback buyer. They already contacted me saying they would send a cheque on Monday and then arrange collection when it has cleared, so I'm quite confident it has actually sold.
I'll miss that synth a lot, but at least I didn't end up giving it away. For all the sliders and programming capability it offered, I never really had time to delve into it and I'd be just as well using a JD990 module or even forgetting about JD synthesis altogether and grabbing a JV2080 with a couple of boards for the classic "Roland" strings sounds.
Gradually ripping up the kitchen floor (need an empty Volvo here to take all the crap away - I'm stalled because I a: can't stand the mess and need to get a facemask, and b: need to take away the old bits of kitchen),
Reorganising the studio into a more efficient layout. If I cut down enough (Stylophones are going next), then I intend to get a Mackie D8B desk and set up something compact and usable.
One thing I'm noticing is that lovely as the Trinity is, it really sounds "muddy" compared to the Supernova and Rolands. I love the controller, but I think I need some new sounds for it. Missed a PBS-TRI sample/playback board (£101, so a bit steep) on eBay the other day, but I think part of today will involve digging out a computer with a floppy drive and trying to find some Trinity soundsets.
Heh. That icon features a device I'm fairly sure will sell...
