So far today, I have felt ill, been concerned about the level of warmth a camera generates, found my cat locked in the studio overnight (poor thing, and she never has accidents in these situations either), chucked some stuff in a bag for Birmingham, and emailed the FBI.
See, the sunglasses seller doesn't seem to grasp that no, I'm not returning the sunglasses for a refund, as they've already proven that they're totally dishonest. And a PayPal dispute gave me a US address to return them to - tracked. Um, that'll cost about £10 as it is.
So, I passed on the information to the FBI, whom I'm sure have much better things to do, but you never know. They might decide that counterfeit sunglasses are worth a token glance. If I worked for the FBI, I'd go check it out, partly because I reckon anyone dealing in anything "dodgy" in large quantities, especially for export, is probably going to be worth investigating just to see what else they're getting up to.
I think the address is an office block; I found a phone number and name based there, but I also see several locations for the address with a second number, like an apartment number, with each one. So perhaps either box numbers, or offices. Either way the contact I found was connected to brokerage and port shipments.
This evening I'm heading to Birmingham to see
jenova_red and pick up a TV, on Saturday we're going to London to get my tripod back from the hotel (from 10th Feb!) and see
deathboy. Yeay! I wish I didn't feel so grotty, though :( Siani appears to be off work with ills again, I think I'm doing well remaining functional.
