Apr. 5th, 2007 02:51 pmI FUCKING HATE WINDOWS
The saga of the WiFi continues.
I bought an internal WiFi card on eBay. I know this is probably a bad idea, but here, get this; you buy an Airport card for a Mac, it fucking well works.
Anyway; install card. No drivers in the system. Fine. It's an Asus WL-120G V2. AKA Dell TrueMobile. Find drivers. They appear to be on a euro support site but are US I think. Maybe the card is US? Anyway, WiFi works in US and UK, this shouldn't be an issue.
Try Asus drivers. No hardware found. Fine. Dell spits out too. Try the driver instead of the installer. TrueMobile 1300 card found.
No networks.
I suspect it's due to the USA-ness.
Anyway. Try again.
Won't let me remove the Dell drivers.
Why does ANYONE put up with this stupid setup? Why the hell is Windows XP not just considered to be a total joke?
It's a lovely sunny day and I was out of the office doing photography with the new SD14, but I am ROYALLY sick of dealing with Windows for anything.
