Simplify, Simplify.

I've prepared listings of various toy cars... but they seem to fetch so little on eBay. On the plus side, I think that the small collection of "First Shot" British Sportscars I have might get more than the $5 each I paid for them. (Or, maybe not. I found some. Also, it looks like although six cars are listed on the box, only four were released as such - presumably because the E-type had been released previously as a "Shaguar", and the Alpine as a James Bond model).

And: I HAVE A PG-1000 programmer! I love t3h int3rn3tz0rs. Bloke on one of the mailing lists I'm on was going to pull the ROMs and make it into a fader box, I said "I can't afford one of those things; they're worth decent money! Don't kill it!". Instead of telling me to mind my own business, he offered to swap it for a stylophone. Which costs way less than the £140 or so they keep finishing for on eBay, being the reason I don't have one and never have had.

Finally I can program my D-50 properly. Now I just need similar luck to find a PG800 and PG200 (well, the 200 isn't so important, but the 800 will do both my JX10 and G77b).
Well, not only did my PG-1000 arrive (yeay) and work (double-yeay) - I figured out how to hook it up and being able to edit patches is brilliant. The D-50 is a seriously powerful synth behind the handful of buttons.

Did some more work on the Polysix, got a factory patch set as a wav file, recorded it to tape and it all works. So, I am very close to having a complete, reliable Polysix. It's even had an accidental 24hr + burn-in test (forgot to switch it off).

Polysix number two needs a patch management board or repair to that. That'll be fun.

Oh. And I forgot to mention that I finally got SoundDiver to behave and loaded up the full factory patch set to the TX816. Some of the 8-voice patches are incredible, and although it's not perfect, the FM-based Piano patch is the best synthesized piano I have ever heard, presumably each synth has a subtle variant on the basic patch resulting in different textures.
