My NeXTs are giving me problems, the monitor appears to have burned out on the colour one. Normally the mono ones die!

And there's someone on my flist I am sad for right now.

Siani has a day off work due to cooties!
Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] meltie.

As I recover from the weekend and exploding cars, I ponder just how remarkably crap timing can be sometimes.

Gah!

Jesus wept.

Not only are the Whitby dates altered (heads up, it's weekend of the 21st now), but the cottage costs £110 more for that period.

To say I'm angry about this is an understatement. Since there is no fundamental conflict of venues, the only concern has been one of accommodation for the hippies, and frankly as far as I'm concerned, if the hippies have an issue with their festival, they can fucking well move it to somewhere vacant. I'm very unimpressed with this.

So, stallholders, if I am even more in a "looking, not buying" mood, that's why. No more metal things, no boots, no new tops for me in April. I'm going because I want to see my friends, and I'll be in the spa because of the vouchers from April '05, but £110 out of the budget is seriously unwelcome. I hope at least some people are fortunate enough to not have an increase in rates for their cottages.

On the plus side, I fixed the NeXTStep install issue - the SCSI cable was bad.
On the minus side, the PSU in the NeXT failed during installation.
On the plus side, the colour NeXT's monitor is dead anyway, so it just lost a PSU and I think I have a working NS3.3 Mono Station now.

Now, to plan the rest of the day.
