So.

Today it am hot. Dashboard's Weather thingy says 22ª, which is not entirely welcome in my sauna studio; the land of transformers and hot PCBs. It's certainly not enough to worry about the electronics yet, though. The G5 was running the fans yesterday, which is unusual behaviour despite the massive number of apps I run on it.

I can get more work done on my iPaq/Pocket Phojo review. I'd like to get the Sera polished in more places and get some prices for new suspension.

Siani says "Work outside", but I lack the WiFi range :(

I'm looking around at recent things I want to put on eBay.

Two Game Gears
Two Master Systems
A Commodore C64C
The Sharp MZ80K, but it's not fixed.

Also, I want to get my TX416 PSU fixed. In fairness I haven't missed the machine much, but it's a point of principle - I want it back. Apparently the lead singer of the Inspiral Carpets (or rather, one of 'em - Tom Hingely) is coming up here on the 19th August for a folk session and I'm thinking I'll invite him to come play with the studio if he has time.

Need 25 Euro in notes. Got manuals for my JD800 from eBay Germany, but no PayPal, and bank transfers are killingly expensive :/
Bel Canto. Good morning music. Must obtain CDs. *nods*

G5 says "Fucking hell, it's hot".

Got a big fan for the office. I think it's reducing the temperature, but I still wish the UK understood 'air conditioning' in a residential sense.

The Sera is like some sort of torture device in this weather. I dread to think what the silver one is like, because the A/C is shot on it - the black one is bad enough.
Hey man! Yeah! You behind the counter!
You work for the machine, man!
You work for the capitalist behemoth that is killing the planet and creating poverty.
We want to FIGHT poverty! Yeah! Fight Capitalism!

I'll have a Big Mac Meal please. With Evian.

So... we went for a drive as it's so damn hot. Went to Berwick, then up the coast, and stopped at McDonalds because, dammit, we wanted to eat. And they had no salad dressing, no salt, no Evian (not that I wanted it, but I was told they had none), no fruit juice, hardly any burgers.

Why?

Well.. in two days, 90 busloads of people heading up North stopped in and like locusts, cleared them out.

90 busloads...of G8 Summit Anti Capitalist Protestors.

As the manager said as he rummaged in the back of the boxes for some dressing; "I asked why they were eating here, as they were fighting Capitalism and were anti McDonalds - and they replied, 'We've got to eat'".

No fucking shit Sherlock. So instead of 90 busloads of people descening on, say, the PYO Strawberry place, or the grocery store, or local fishmongers and tearooms, they stop at the unnacceptable grinning clown face of Capitalism in the Western World.

Nice going chaps. This is why I never take these half-baked loonies seriously.
