Thanks to someone posting on alt.gothic, I now have a Japanese subtitled copy of Nosferatu on Laserdisc. I also have, with one search, located the allegedly crap Tom Selleck film "Runaway" - a psuedo sci-fi thriller worthy of MST3K treatment, but notable because the entire soundtrack was done with a Yamaha TX816, RX11 and QX1 sequencer. So I have 1.5 out of three there (RX11s are cheap, crude drum machines, and my TX is only a 416). I can't believe I found the Widescreen PAL of this with one attempt, with a cheap Buy it Now. Mad.

Nicotine really blows goats, but it has found me three of the tracks from my worn out tape of "The Gift". Beige G3 is slogging away with X11 and 10.3.9 installed, incredibly.

This was one of my favourite songs, probably around 1989. This and "Strange Little Girl" by the Stranglers (now irretrievably mixed up with "Little Girl With Blue Eyes" by Pulp). My friends all liked, hell I don't know. Probably the stuff I skip on 80s compilations. I liked this, and Bowie, and Pink Floyd, and Tangerine Dream. I'd just got out of a mad 60s phase.

Of course I saw myself as the boy, that's kinda the whole point. I found other teenagers intimidating and scary, the uniforms from city stores line split from the rest, the idea that the boy in the song is just like the rest, but he's not, because by the time I was familiar with the song you had to listen to the music that was out that week. So I made it my own version, sort of.

What songs spoke to you when you were a kid? Why and how? Did they affect how you behaved, or dressed, or acted? Even if you don't like the music now, do you still consider the artists as 'good'?

Why does GoLive always fail to upload to Demon? I just don't understand why it is so outstandingly crap :/
