And of making your descriptions/titles sensible.

What pisses me off: "Roland JD 800 (not Moog, Korg, Dead Goat)". I know it's not a fucking Korg. If I wanted a Korg, I'd be searching for it and vice versa.

What annoys me because I missed something:

"YAMAHA MEP4".

What it should say:

"Yamaha MEP4 - kick ass accessory for Yamaha TX416 - Richard, you NEED this".

They got no bids because I wasn't watching for them, so I have my fingers very tightly crossed on this one being available.

I'm getting on better with InDesign now. Phew. It's actually nicer than PageMaker, but because it's different it still throws me. I'm sure this version (CS) is also very different to 1.5 which is the last one I used in anger.

Woo! Yay!

Minemineminemine.

"WHADDOESITDO!"

Well... it kinda mungs the MIDI around and does all sort of weird stuff to it. It has 4 outputs which get connected to the MIDI inputs on the back of the TX416 (one per module, convenient that) and then does all sorts of Neat Stuff (TM).

Maybe I'll make use of it, and maybe it'll confuse me and I'll fail to make it do anything good - but I'm guessing the former from what I've read. Apparently it's a bitch to program though. I expect that from anything Yamaha and 80s.

I finished the advert. Phew.
Once again, it looks like the British Car Industry is about to become largely extinct. SAIC China do not appear to be going ahead with the MG Rover deal, and as a result MG Rover may well be going down the pan.

As someone who really, really wanted an MG ZT-T 260, I'm sad. They'd started making 1/2 decent cars again and the 45 replacement looked promising.

Blame can be traced back 34 years, IMO, to the formation of British Leyland and their incompetent management, lazy workforce and of course, Red Ken's stirring up of the unions just as the Japanese were poised to demolish our car industry - having built their own on the backs of Austin's myopic 'pity' and incredible inability to foresee that hard working, intelligent people were going to build a better car than the 'it's not work, it's a job' mentality of the British workforce post welfare state.

Heh.

Anyway. Farewell. Capitalism means I have to say that MG Rover should die, they're making cars in a country where it is economically insane to do so, making in many cases an inferior product, and they're expensive. However, I'm so very sad - the idea that Britain will no longer be a car manufacturer of note, despite having been pioneering in many ways, is very depressing. Why, why can't the Government get their heads around the concept that it is simply too damn expensive to live in the UK and still compete in the Global Economy!

I was almost as pissed off when Dyson stopped making things here. Yes; I know the economics of it.
