So...

Anyone have Midge Ure's "The Gift" on CD at all? I had it on tape when I was a kid (I thought I had awful taste in music, but I was actually listening to Bowie and Midge Ure in 1985 so I guess I really am stuck in time) but I've never had it on CD, and the tape is lost.

Annoying because I know I had it in 1992 when I started driving. Perhaps it died in a car.

Can't find any of the tracks apart from If I Was online; I especially want the "Living in the Past" cover and "Wastelands" but I really want the whole CD.

And a question for the iTunes users: If you have identical mixes on compilations and albums, do you delete the compilation track?

I took enough rubbish to the dump in Siani's car to really hurt my back, then got back (via Ian's to laugh at a JC Midge kit car he's bought) in time to find that the Akai S900 12-bit sampler I've been watching had received one bid and therefore was still a piffling £50. Bid just over £50 and got it for £53.

Score, I think!

It's mainly of interest because I can connect it to the Akai AX73 synthesizer, making an analogue filtered Sample and Synthesis setup. I'm going to send two group outputs to the sampler, sample stuff from the mixer, and play with it that way.

My parent's Calico cat, Carla (sister of my old black and white cat Arthur) died yesterday. She was 18, quite frail and she was put down after suffering a mild stroke because she has trouble breathing and was unlikely to recover, so she had relatively little suffering.

To add to that, Dansak, the oldest chicken they have, died too. I'm sure it's this sort of time of year that the goat died. Must be the season :/
