Well... I did manage it. Up at 7am, drive to NEC - M6 closed at 34-33 due to a major, major accident so ended up on the A6 which was equally tortuous (10 miles in an hour) and also appeared to have suffered an accident of a minor nature. Delivered the flash system that had been won in a magazine competition and then tried to get around to see as many people as possible.

Contax's new i4R is a stunning little camera - not so much a camera as jewellery. They've also improved the focusing time over the SL300R, itself a massive improvement on the Contax TVS and so forth. The U4R is the replacement for the SL300 (well, 4.0 Mpixel version) and it feels bulkier despite being exactly the same dimensions. Very odd.

Maybe new things from Sigma; the SD10 was selling for £549 at the show. Whether or not you like the SD10's output (IME, anyone who has read a mainstream press review of it think's they're crap, anyone who has actually used one thinks they're great - though the latter camp usually finds the Sigma mount something to complain about, even if they have Sigma lenses for their existing Canon/Nikon kit).

Drove back M42/M1/M18/A1/A697/A68, got incredibly tired and nearly drove off the road on one corner during the mini blizzard. Bloody weather.

David planned to go down himself, but there's a "signal failure at Reston" so his train wasn't going anywhere. I feel all out of sorts today, my shoulder is killing me, and I just don't feel 'right'. Very annoying, but I can't go to sleep anymore.
