Apple have launched new PowerBooks. Upgraded to 1.5Ghz (12", 15" Combo) and 1.67GHz (15" Superdriver, 17"). various minor alterations, scroll-trackpad where using two fingers will act like a scrollwheel (that's nice. I'd like that). 8x DVD+/-RW SuperDrives.
I suppose it's a useful speed increase, but the PowerBook still carrying around a G4 is starting to look a little tawdry - they'd better get G5s out before the end of the year to maintain any market strength, I suspect.
If you're in the market for PowerBooks however, this news might be useful in terms of obtaining old stock 1.33/1.5 SuperDrive models if dealers have them (Jigsaw 24 is usually good), checking out the Apple Refurb Store on Wednesday mornings at http://www.apple.com/uk/ and clicking the links, or indeed affecting the values of used i/PowerBooks.
