Anyone in Hong Kong?
Jan. 2nd, 2005 11:50 pmThe Clie range is dead in the US and EU to all intents and purposes, but the Asian market remains strong. I have noticed that SonyStyle Hong Kong lists the PEGA-EB40 extended battery for $899 HKD still. The original US price was $119, which is all fine and dandy except now the units have been removed from this market, they're selling for $229 from used sellers on Amazon (I don't know if they're selling, but they're hitting >$175 on eBay).
$899HKD is £60. The device is small enough that airmail would probably be cheap. Can anyone obtain one or two of these extended batteries in HK for me and ship them over? Are there obscene taxes I am overlooking here?
